AI Design Disclaimer
Roomiva · Version 2026-09-06.1 · Effective 6 September 2026
Please read this before you act on anything the app shows you. It is part of the Terms of Service.
1. What a design is
Every image Roomiva produces is generated by artificial-intelligence models from your photograph and your choices: one model (Google's Gemini API) reads the photograph, plans the design and checks the result, and another (OpenAI's image model) draws it. It is a conceptual, illustrative visualisation: a picture of an idea. It is not a drawing, a specification, a survey, an estimate or a plan.
2. What we are not
We are not an architect, engineer, structural consultant, contractor, quantity surveyor, electrician, plumber, gas engineer, planning consultant, valuer or safety professional, and the app provides no professional advice of any kind.
3. What may be wrong
A generated design may be inaccurate in ways that look convincing. In particular, the following can be wrong and must not be relied on:
- Dimensions and proportions. Nothing is measured. The size, height and spacing of anything in a design is an impression, not a figure.
- Products and materials. The app suggests categories of material and furniture, not purchasable products. It does not check stock, prices or availability, and any product-like detail in an image is invented.
- Prices and costs. No design is a cost estimate.
- Structural feasibility. A design may show something that cannot be built as drawn, or that would need a beam, a foundation, a support or a permit.
- Code and regulatory compliance. A design says nothing about building regulations, fire safety, egress, accessibility, planning permission, listed-building consent, electrical or plumbing standards, or any other rule.
4. Structure preservation
The app is designed to keep the structure in your photograph — walls, columns, floors, roofs, windows, doors and openings — exactly where it is, and it checks each result against the original before showing it to you. A result that fails that check is not shown and is not charged. This reduces the risk of a design that moves a wall; it does not remove it. An AI output still requires human verification. If a design appears to change something structural, treat the design as wrong, and report it from the design screen.
5. Before you do any work
Consult a qualified professional — an architect, a structural engineer, a licensed contractor, an electrician, a plumber, a gas engineer, as the work requires — before any construction, demolition, alteration, electrical, plumbing, gas, structural, load-bearing, fire-safety or accessibility work, and before spending money on the strength of a design. Obtain any permit or consent the law requires. Nothing in the app confirms that work is permitted, feasible, safe or affordable in your property.
6. Ownership of generated images
Whether a generated image can be owned, and by whom, depends on the law where you are and on the terms of the AI provider that produced it — the image is drawn by OpenAI's image model from a plan written with Google's Gemini API, so both providers' terms may bear on it. In many places the law does not grant copyright in a purely machine-generated image. We do not promise that a design is exclusively yours, that no similar design could be produced for someone else, or that it can be protected. See the Terms of Service §5.
7. Reporting a result
If a design changes the structure, looks unsafe or offensive, or is otherwise wrong, use Report on the design screen. Reports help us improve the checks; they do not turn a design into advice.
