Subscription & Free Trial Terms
Roomiva · Version 2026-09-06.1 · Effective 6 September 2026
These terms explain how paid subscriptions work. They are part of the Terms of Service. The operator ("we") is identified in the Operator details at the end of this document.
1. What you are buying
A Pro subscription unlocks a monthly allowance of designs and HD re-renders, removes the preview watermark, and keeps your rooms and plans in your history. The exact allowance in force is shown in the app before you subscribe and in Settings afterwards; we may change allowances for future periods, and the app will show the new figure.
The subscription is sold through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Apple or Google is the merchant of record and charges you; we never hold your card details.
2. Prices and periods
The price, the currency, the billing period (monthly or yearly) and any introductory offer are those shown by the store on the purchase sheet at the moment you confirm. The app displays exactly what the store reports, in your store's currency; it contains no fixed price of its own. If the store's terms change between the app showing them and you confirming, the app tells you and charges nothing.
3. Free trials
A free trial may be offered on the yearly plan. Whether you are eligible, and how long the trial is, is decided by the store, not by the app; the app only shows what the store reports. A trial:
- starts only when the store confirms a valid subscription transaction — the app never starts one on its own;
- gives full Pro access for its length;
- converts to a paid subscription at the store's price when it ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
If the store shows an introductory *price* rather than a free trial, the app describes it as a price, never as "free".
4. Automatic renewal
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price the store shows, unless you turn off auto-renew in your store account at least 24 hours before the period ends. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal. The app shows the next renewal date once the store has reported it.
5. Cancelling
Cancel in your store account, not in the app:
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or the *Manage subscription* button in the app, which opens that page.
- Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or the *Manage subscription* button in the app.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Pro access until the end of the period you have paid for. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription, and deleting your Roomiva account does not cancel it either — the store does not know about our account. Cancel first, then delete.
6. Refunds
Because the store is the merchant, refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, and we cannot issue them ourselves. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google: the Google Play refund process. Where the law where you live gives you a right to withdraw or to a refund, that right is unaffected.
7. Restoring a purchase
If you reinstall the app or change device, use Restore purchases on the paywall. The store re-checks your purchase and your access returns. Restoring works for the store account that bought the subscription.
8. Changing plan
Switching between monthly and yearly is handled by the store as an upgrade or downgrade within one subscription group, on the store's proration rules.
9. Your allowance
Allowances are applied by our server, not by the app, and reset with your billing month. Unused allowance does not carry over. A guest account's free allowance, and any usage on it, follows the guest into an email account when you sign in; a subscription or an operator-granted entitlement stays with the account it was bought or granted for.
